Yi Liu is a Ph.D. student whose research draws on a broad range of disciplines, reflecting her background in hydrology, meteorology, and quantitative ecology. Her prior research has examined long-term wind speed change and plant phenology. At UW-Madison, she is extending interdisciplinary background to insect phenology, diversity, and population dynamics.

She holds an M.S. in Geospatial Data Sciences from the University of Michigan.
